Terms of Service

By accessing FRCinsights, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service is intended for users 13 or older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the service only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or mentor.

You may use FRCinsights for personal, educational, and team-strategy purposes. You may not scrape at abusive rates, attempt to access non-public data, disrupt the service, misrepresent its outputs as official, or use it for unlawful purposes.

Accounts are optional: everything published on the site can be read without one. If you create an account, you must give an email address you control, you must be old enough under section 2, and you are responsible for keeping your password and API keys secure. One person, one account. Do not share credentials, and tell us promptly if you believe an account or key has been compromised. Accounts that are used to abuse the service may be suspended or removed.

A display name, avatar link and bio are optional. Anything you enter must be yours to use and must not be harassing, defamatory, impersonating, obscene, or contain someone else's personal information. Following a team or event is a private convenience feature: it only shapes your own dashboard and does not imply any affiliation with that team or event. Content that breaks these rules may be removed without notice.

API access is a free beta and may change, be rate limited, or be withdrawn at any time. Keys are personal to you. Do not resell access, share a key, run automated traffic that degrades the service for others, or attempt to reach data your account is not entitled to. If you republish figures obtained through the API, attribute FRCinsights and make clear the ratings are estimates rather than official FIRST results. We may revoke a key that is abused.

The current service does not accept user submissions. If submission features are added, you must own or have the right to submit the content, it will be labeled user-submitted (not official), and a reporting and moderation process will be provided.

The APEX model, original code, text, and design are owned by the operator. Public FRC and third-party API data remain the property of their respective owners and are used for analytics and commentary.

Competition data is provided by The Blue Alliance and, where available, FIRST. FRCinsights is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by these organizations.

FRCinsights produces AI-assisted, experimental analytics. APEX ratings, predictions, win probabilities, and AI summaries are estimates and may be wrong, incomplete, or delayed. FRCinsights rankings are not official FIRST rankings.

No prediction is guaranteed. Do not rely solely on FRCinsights for alliance selection, travel, safety, financial, or competition decisions.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. It may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time.

The service may link to third-party sites (such as team websites). The operator is not responsible for their content.

Access, an account, or an API key may be suspended or terminated for violations of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and its data by contacting FRCinsights.

These terms may be updated as features change. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
